A transformative moment unfolded at ICT Park as DEMERA and IE Network Solutions, in collaboration with the Tech Talent Academy, launched a groundbreaking IT training program. This initiative is designed to equip young professionals with cutting-edge skills and real-world opportunities in IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), driving Ethiopia’s digital future forward.

Skillsoft partners with Demera, offering its learning experience platform, Percipio. This collaboration provides Demera's academic institute partners with access to extensive library of training materials, immersive learning experience tailored to the needs of individual learners.

FDRE Ministry of Education(MOE)

DEMERA has signed a memorandum of understanding with the ministry of education. In collaboration with the Ethiopia Ministry of Education, Demera aims to influence national education policies and integrate digital literacy into curriculums across the country.

Flexshred

Flexshred specialises in secure data destruction and the refurbishment of IT equipment. They have played a vital role in supporting Demera by refurbishing donated laptops before they are distributed to those in need. Flexshred ensures that all data on these devices is securely erased using certified methods.

Gonder University

University of Gondar: Partnering with DEMERA for Inclusive IT Training

The University of Gondar (UoG) has a rich history of academic excellence and community impact. Officially established with its current status and autonomy in 2004, its origins date back to 1954 when it was founded as the Public Health College and Training Centre (PHC & TC). Today, as the oldest medical training institution in Ethiopia, UoG continues to shape the future of education and professional development.

In line with our shared vision for empowering future generations, DEMERA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Gondar to launch a transformative IT training program. This initiative is specifically designed to empower women in technology by providing them with specialized training and globally recognized certifications.

Through this partnership, we are taking a crucial step toward bridging the gender gap in the tech industry. By equipping women with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy, we are fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable career opportunities.

Bahir Dar University

Bahir Dar University: A Valued Partner in Advancing Digital Education

Bahir Dar University (BDU) has a rich history of academic excellence, evolving from the merger of two esteemed institutions: Bahir Dar Polytechnic Institute and Bahir Dar Teachers’ College. The Polytechnic Institute, established in 1963 through technical cooperation between the Government of the USSR and the Imperial Government of Ethiopia, laid the foundation for today's Technology and Textile Institutes. It played a pivotal role in producing skilled technicians for the nation. Meanwhile, Bahir Dar Teachers’ College, originally known as the Academy of Pedagogy, was founded in 1972 through a tripartite agreement between the Imperial Government of Ethiopia, UNESCO, and UNDP. It began operations the following year under the Ministry of Education and Fine Arts.

Recognizing the university’s longstanding contribution to education and workforce development, DEMERA is proud to partner with Bahir Dar University to enhance IT training and certification programs in Ethiopia. Through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), this collaboration reinforces DEMERA’s commitment to equipping young professionals and women with the necessary skills to thrive in the technology sector.
